People sometimes ask: “But what exactly do you do in a mindfulness training?”
You’ll practice skills to deal differently with stress, worrying thoughts, and automatic patterns, which brings more peace, space, and balance to your daily life. Essentially, you practice pausing for a moment and noticing what is happening in a given moment, in your body, your thoughts, and how a situation affects you.
To pause and observe, we take the time to practice reflection exercises, meditation and awareness exercises, and accessible movement exercises. You can apply it right away in your daily life, and that’s quite nice, because that’s where you live.
It’s important, by the way, that we don’t try to make what we notice go away or banish it. But you can observe it without judgment, with curiosity, and a kind approach to yourself. That way, you can then make a conscious choice about what you need.
Topics covered include: recognizing patterns, understanding stress, dealing with worrying thoughts, making space for rest and recovery, and bringing mindfulness into daily life.
During the 8 weeks, there is also a silent session where you have ample time to practice the skills under guidance. At the same time, participants experience it as a genuine moment just for themselves.
If you’d like to participate, you can choose from group training, individual sessions, or sessions in pairs. Feel free to check the website for the upcoming mindfulness courses.
