I am Nathalie (1978), a coach, mindfulness trainer and educator.

I worked for over twenty years as a family therapist, schoolpsychologist and behavioral scientist with parents, children, schools and professionals in (youth) care and education. I decided to change the way I work in order to give space to rest, self-care and family with two kids.

I also wanted to work with people who feel that something is ready to change, but do not (yet) seek intensive mental health care or therapy. It is precisely at that tipping point that there is strength and potential for recovery.

In my guidance, individual and group trainings, I work with evidence-based methods. I combine insights from behavioral science, (cognitive behavioral) psychology with mindfulness, self-compassion and the power of nature.

Sessions are always tailored to your pace and needs. Not focused on “a quick fix,” but on awareness. Learning to feel what you need and how to make space for it in your daily life.

Sometimes it's very small steps and shifts that make the difference.

My background and experiences

I studied at Leiden University and obtained two Masters in Social Sciences, namely from Orthopedagogy and Family Pedagogy. Then I did the postgraduate continuing education Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for which I am now certified. And I am a member of the professional association NVO.

Throughout the years I have continued to educate myself continuously, including in the field of Neuropsychological Research, Developmental Psychopathology and using creativity with Art Based Learning (ArtEZ). In addition, I have certified as a yoga teacher and yoga nidra / econidra facilitator, because I like to see a human being as a whole: thoughts, feelings and the body.

More recently I am further specializing in the field of Mindfulness and self-compassion. I am now certified for basic mindfulness (MBSR), for individual mindfulness (iMBCT) and for Mindful Parenting.

All this knowledge and experience of the past two decades, where I guided and coached children, young people, parents and other adults/co-professionals in (youth) care and education, I bring with me when working together. Curious what a trajectory might look like?

Individual counseling and mindfulness training can help with:

1. Developing (Self) Awareness and gain knowledge
Guidance can help you become more aware of who you are and gain more insight into how your body / thoughts work.

2. Discovering your strengths, abilities and resilience
Awareness does not only mean discovering what holds you back or bothers you. It is also discovering what you already do more easily, where your strengths lie and how you can adapt and develop as needed and desired.

3. Connection between body and head
During the sessions there is attention to exercises and skills that focus on body and mind (thoughts / feelings). Each on its own or to experience how they can influence each other.

4. Recognizing and listening to emotions, needs and boundaries.
When you are more aware of what you are experiencing and where your needs lie, you can discover how to express emotions and needs, set boundaries and take care of yourself in a healthy way.
